How Curiska (Pty) Ltd collects, uses and stores your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
When you submit your CV, we collect the personal information you provide directly: your name, contact details, LinkedIn profile, the sector you're interested in, and the contents of your CV (which may include your work history, qualifications, and other details you choose to include).
We use this information for one purpose: to consider you for roles with Curiska or Curiska's clients that match your skills and experience, and to contact you about those opportunities.
We only collect and store your information once you've actively consented on the submission form. Submitting your CV without ticking that box isn't possible — consent is required before the form can be sent.
Your CV is not sent to any employer automatically. Before we put you forward for a specific role, we will contact you to confirm you're interested in that opportunity and that employer.
Submissions are stored in Curiska's Google Workspace account — your CV is saved to a restricted Google Drive folder, and your other details are logged in a private Google Sheet. Only people at Curiska with permission to that folder and sheet can see your information. If we place you with a client, or need to run reference, background or credit checks at offer stage, we'll ask for your explicit consent again at that point before sharing further information or engaging a verification provider.
We retain your information for as long as you remain a relevant candidate in our pool, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. If you haven't heard from us and no longer wish to be contacted, you can request deletion at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@curiska.co.za. If you believe your information has been mishandled, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
